Jobber and SvarKlar both promise to stop leads slipping through the cracks. They start from different places, and that decides which one actually fits your shop.

Jobber is job-management software, not an answering service

Jobber's core product is scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and a client hub for home service businesses: plumbers, HVAC techs, landscapers, cleaners. Plans run from Core at $49 a month up to Plus at $499 a month, billed monthly, with cheaper rates if you commit annually. A 14-day free trial gives full access to the Grow-tier features, no credit card needed.

Jobber says more than 400,000 service pros use it, across over 100,000 businesses, with more than 29 million jobs completed through the platform. It was a large, established piece of software long before an AI receptionist was ever added to it.

What the Receptionist add-on actually does

Receptionist is Jobber's own AI add-on: $29 a month on top of any paid plan, included free if you are on the $499 Plus plan. It answers calls and texts around the clock, books, reschedules, and cancels visits straight to your calendar, and can hand a call to a real person when needed. Jobber says the average home service business using it handles over 20 calls a week without anyone stepping in. It is ready from day one, built from your existing company profile, request forms, and booking settings, and you fine-tune it yourself from there.

It covers two channels. Jobber's own page describes it as answering "calls and texts," nothing about web chat, social messages, or a missed-call text-back outside those two.

What SvarKlar is instead

SvarKlar is not job-management software. It is one AI employee that answers texts, web leads, social messages, and the calls you miss, all in writing within seconds, with a live AI voice option on the phone too. It asks the questions a sharp dispatcher would, quotes the job, and books the visit.

The setup is different too. Fred, the founder, builds SvarKlar around your shop on a call and keeps running it, instead of you configuring an add-on inside software you already pay for. If AI receptionists are new to you, this explains what one is.

Add up the real bill

Getting Jobber's Receptionist means paying for Jobber first. The cheapest path is the $49 Core plan plus the $29 add-on, around $78 a month total, or $499 a month for Plus, which folds the add-on in for free. Either way, you are buying a full job-management platform to get the AI receptionist that sits on top of it.

SvarKlar does not ask you to run your business on a different system first. There is no published price; the number comes from a single call with Fred, shaped to what your shop needs, not picked off a four-tier grid.

Where Jobber fits

If your quotes, scheduling, and invoicing are still on paper or spread across a few tools, Jobber's pitch is real: one platform, one bill, and now an add-on that answers calls and texts too. For a shop that wants everything under one login, and is fine with phone and text as the only channels, that bundle is hard to beat.

Where SvarKlar fits

We build SvarKlar, so read this knowing that: most home service leads are not lost on the phone. They are the call that rings through while you're wrist-deep in a furnace, the web form filled out between your third and fourth stop of the day, the text that waits until you're back in the truck that evening. SvarKlar answers all of that in writing within seconds, with one price set once on a call with the founder, not a number that shifts with your plan tier or add-on list.

Jobber built an AI receptionist into a job-management platform. SvarKlar built one AI employee and nothing else, run for you by the person who built it.

Next step

A call is a short look at your inbound together: what's slipping today, and whether Jobber's bundle or SvarKlar's single AI employee actually fixes it. If Jobber is the better fit for your shop, Fred will say so.
