Search for Birdeye pricing and you land on a form, not a number. This page sets out what Birdeye says about price and terms on its own pages, then where SvarKlar sits next to it.
What Birdeye pricing looks like
Birdeye shows no price on its pricing page. You fill in a form, and the tiers are set by how many locations you run: 1 to 3, 4 to 9, 10 to 39, and on up past 1,000. The same page says the pricing is built around outcomes, not seat counts.
A one-location shop lands in the smallest tier, but still gets a quote instead of a list price. Ask what that quote covers for the front desk and messaging before you set it beside a monthly number.
The 90-day renewal notice
Birdeye's terms renew an agreement for the length of the first term unless you send written notice at least 90 days before the renewal date. At renewal it adds an 8% fee on recurring fees, except for agreements signed before April 1, 2024.
Its cancellation page points you to your own contract and says an account closes early only when the contract has an early opt-out clause. Read the order form for the term before you sign. SvarKlar runs month to month, so you can leave whenever you like.
How the Birdeye Receptionist treats a missed call
You forward unanswered calls to a Receptionist number, one per location, and the caller can leave a voicemail and get answers by text from Robin, Birdeye's AI. Voicemails are transcribed, the caller gets an automatic text, and your staff reads the message in the Birdeye inbox and replies.
Birdeye's flow ends with your staff reading the inbox. SvarKlar answers the call, texts back a caller it misses, and says it is an AI if the caller asks. It does not dispatch a technician.
Birdeye alternatives for a single-location shop
Birdeye is built around multi-location brands, so an owner with one shop may pay for tools that never get opened. These pages compare other ways to answer leads:
- Podium: a customer platform with an AI for phone and text, priced by quote.
- Weave: a phone and communications platform for local practices and shops.
- Smith.ai: live receptionists, or an AI that answers first.
- SvarKlar: run by one founder.
Where Birdeye is the stronger choice
Birdeye puts reviews, listings, search visibility, surveys and a front desk on one platform. If you run many locations and want all of that under one contract, it does far more than SvarKlar does, and Frederik will tell you so on a call.
Where one founder is enough
Fair warning, we sell SvarKlar. If missed calls and slow replies cost you jobs, you may want one person who sets it up, runs it, and picks up when something breaks. That is Frederik.
Birdeye quotes by location count and renews on 90 days' notice. SvarKlar is month to month and you stop whenever you like. The right pick turns on how many locations you run and how much of the wider platform you would use.
Book a call if you want help deciding between the full platform and a service that only handles replies, or see how SvarKlar works.
